2010 NFL Draft: Cleveland Browns May Not Get Eric Berry According to New Reports
According to Mike Lombardi of National Football Post , the Kansas City Chiefs are actively taking all calls for trading down in the first round.
Also according to Lombardi, the Chiefs are interested in an offensive lineman in the second round rather than taking a top-tier tackle with the No. 5 overall pick.
This poses a problem for the Cleveland Browns because the Chiefs may be using the possibility of Eric Berry still being on the draft board and available as their trade bait.

One team that may be highly interested in trading with the Chiefs are the Philadelphia Eagles who have openly told the media they are interested in trading up for one of the top safeties in this draft.
Initially, I stated the Browns would be a perfect trade partner for the Eagles since they have done business already this offseason in a trade and Browns general manager Tom Heckert is the Eagles' former GM too.
Now this matter may have backfired, and it looks like the Chiefs are taking my hypothetical trade idea from this article I wrote over this past weekend.
The Browns may now need to take phone calls of their own so they can find a trade partner to move down from No. 7, unless they are sold on Texas safety Earl Thomas, which I would have no issue with, since the Browns really have to find a solid starting free safety who can step in and produce on day one.
With draft day right around the corner, Browns fans are eagerly awaiting who will be the first pick of the Mike Holmgren-Era of football in Cleveland.
