Boston: The City of Champions

The Boston Celtics became the latest team to win a championship in the city of Boston. Since 2002, Boston has enjoyed six championships.

New England Patriots: They have been a dominate team since the 2001 season, when they went on to win Superbowl XXXVI. They have been in the playoffs every year since 2003 as division champs and have been to Superbowls XXXVIII and XXXIX and won them both. In the 2007 season, the Patriots were the first team since the 1972 Miami Dolphins to finish the regular season undefeated before losing Superbowl XLII to the New York Giants back on February 3.

Boston Red Sox: They were cursed by the Curse of the Bambino. On October 27, 2004, the Boston Red Sox broke the 86-year curse and won the World Series. During the 2007 season, they finished first in the AL East for the first time since 1995, had the best regular season record, 96-66 in the 2007 season, and it all ended on October 28, 2007 with a second World Series title in four years.

Boston Celtics: During the 2006-2007, they finished the season with one of the worst records in the league that season, 24-58. During the 2007-2008, they had a complete turnaround ahd finished 66-16, first place in the conference and WON THEIR 17th NBA CHAMPIONSHIP!

Boston Bruins: They made the playoffs in 2008 and they lost in the first round to the Montréal Canadians. They have not won a Stanley Cup since the 1972.

New England Revolution: They have made it to the MLS Cup three straight times from 2005-2007 and they lost in all three seasons. The Revolution have a chance to win the MLS Cup in 2008.

The stretch between October 2007 and June 2008 was the first time in a while that all four major league teams and the Revolution made it into the postseason! Not to mention, every pro team in the major sport leagues, except for the Bruins have made it to their final matchup during that stretch.

Watch out world! Boston is a City of Champions for the decade!
