Yankees vs. Red Sox Erupts in Brawl After Joe Kelly Hits Tyler Austin with Pitch
Yankees-Red Sox is starting to finally feel like Yankees-Red Sox again.
Benches cleared in the seventh inning of Wednesday night's matchup at Fenway Park when Boston Red Sox reliever Joe Kelly hit New York Yankees first baseman Tyler Austin. Kelly clearly seemed to target Austin for a hard slide he had earlier in the game, missing him with the first pitch before drilling him later in the at-bat.

The Red Sox have reeled off nine straight victories, including a 14-1 triumph over the Yankees on Tuesday. They were down 10-6 in the seventh at the time Kelly hit Austin. While few actually landed, players from both teams were seen in the brawl throwing punches.
Odds are Major League Baseball will be handing down some suspensions for the altercation. Kelly and Austin were both ejected, as was Yankees coach Phil Nevin.
The benches cleared earlier in the game when Austin slid hard into Boston shortstop Brock Holt. No players were ejected during the first altercation.
