2018 NFL Draft: 1st-Round Mock Draft and Teams Most in Need of Impact Prospect
When the NFL draft comes around, each team approaches it differently.
From the top of the draft to the bottom, specifically in the first-round, teams approach their picks differently.
For some, they're in need of an impact player to contribute right away, whereas others can take a chance on a "project" player and let them develop for their long-term value.
In addition to a mock draft, we're going to look at teams that need to hit big with their first-round pick and get a player who can contribute immediately.
Check it out.

Cleveland Browns
This goes without saying, honestly.
The Cleveland Browns have improved, adding wide receiver Jarvis Landry and quarterback Tyrod Taylor, but they still have their holes, of course.
As far as an immediate impact, drafting an offensive player like Saquon Barkley to fill the running back position will help solidify an offense that is trending upward.
Other alternatives would be to add secondary help or perhaps a pass rusher to go opposite Myles Garrett to continue to strengthen a defense that was actually quite good against the run in 2017.
With the No. 1 pick they take the longevity and hope in Josh Allen and with No. 4 they get the player they need to contribute immediately and help Taylor in his first season as the Browns quarterback.
Having two picks in the top-four, you need to hit on them and get some players right away to improve your football team the following season.
New York Giants
This applies specifically to the offensive line, hence why the New York Giants are taking Quenton Nelson in this mock.
Again, they're picking No. 2, but the Giants are a better team than that—2017 was just the perfect storm of negative things that continued to happen to the organization.
The Giants offensive line stinks, but they did pick up left tackle Nate Solder.
Adding Nelson would get a player who will contribute right away and solidify a portion of the offensive line that is the most important for an aging Eli Manning at quarterback.
Competing in the NFC East with the Eagles and the NFC in general, the Giants need to come back with a vengeance in 2018.
Adding a stud offensive lineman will help them close out games—they need Nelson if they stay at No. 2.
Indianapolis Colts
Without Andrew Luck at the quarterback position, the Indianapolis Colts are a wasteland of a football team, to be frank.
The offense is lacking, the front-seven can't rush the passer and the secondary gets absolutely dominated, especially when they lost Malik Hooker for the season during 2017.
On paper, the Colts might be the weakest team in football without Luck.
Trading down with the Jets to No. 6, it's clear they have their eyes on a player they think will still be there after the quarterback run, and they get him in Bradley Chubb.
As mentioned, the Colts have a minimal pass rush, and Chubb would instantly do his part in trying to make opposing offensive lines at least worry a little the night leading up to the game.
Whoever they draft, the Colts need a player to contribute immediately. They've whiffed on essentially every first-round pick from 2013-2016—these include Jack Mewhort, Ryan Kelly, Phillip Dorsett and Bjoern Werner.
Got to hit on this one, Indy. Take Chubb and don't look back if he's on the board at No. 6.
