Jonathan Cooper Reportedly Signs with Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys have reportedly added another big name to their highly regarded offensive line in the form of former first-round pick Jonathan Cooper.
Clarence Hill Jr. of the Star-Telegram reported that Cooper and the Cowboys agreed to terms Wednesday, noting that Dallas had to make a roster move to make the deal official.
On Tuesday, ESPN.com's Todd Archer reported that the Cowboys worked out the free-agent guard and were considering signing him to the 53-man roster.

The Cowboys are already widely considered to boast the best offensive line in the NFL, as it has contributed heavily to the success of rookie quarterback Dak Prescott and rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott.
Their starting guard combination of Zack Martin and Ronald Leary is strong, although they could benefit from some added depth behind them.
Per Archer, however, La'el Collins may soon be activated from injured reserve, which raises questions about whether there is room for Cooper.
Cooper is a well-traveled player despite having entered the league in 2013 as the No. 7 overall pick by the Arizona Cardinals.
After missing his entire rookie season because of injury, Cooper started 11 games for the Cards over the next two seasons before getting dealt to the New England Patriots in the trade that sent pass-rusher Chandler Jones to Arizona.
Cooper failed to impress with the Pats, though, which resulted in him getting waived in October and then claimed by the Cleveland Browns.
The Browns then waived the 26-year-old former North Carolina standout on Dec. 27 after he made three starts for them.
Cooper has been unable to reach his potential at the NFL level, but Dallas could be the best possible landing spot for him since the Cowboys have churned out Pro Bowlers along the offensive line in recent years.
He likely wouldn't be asked to play much for the remainder of the season unless multiple injuries strike during the playoffs, but Cooper has the makings of a low-risk, high-reward signing for the NFC's No. 1 seed.
