2017 NFL Mock Draft: 1st-Round Predictions for Top Prospects After Week 15
The Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers took care of business once again in Week 15 in the race for the No. 1 pick.
The Browns remain winless, clinging to the top spot, but the 49ers aren't out of it just yet. San Francisco has a far less difficult strength of schedule, which would give it the tiebreaker over the Browns if Cleveland manages to pull out a victory down the stretch.
The rest of the draft order in the mock draft is accurate through Sunday's action, using the full-season strength of schedule as a tiebreaker. Here's the latest mock draft and a closer look at what the Browns and a few other teams could do with their first-round selection:

1. Cleveland Browns: Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Browns have an "astronomical grade" on Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett.
Garrett is a special prospect—he's also No. 1 on the draft board of Bleacher Report's Matt Miller—so it's no surprise the Browns are in love with his potential.
Obviously, Cleveland needs to address its quarterback situation soon, but with so many glaring holes on both sides of the ball, it's reasonable to guess the Browns will target the best player on their board with the top pick.
Unless the Browns believe a can't-miss quarterback is available in this draft class, Garrett will likely be their target at No. 1 and should be considered the heavy favorite at this stage of the predraft process.
10. Arizona Cardinals: Mike Williams, WR, Clemson

The Arizona Cardinals' already questionable future at the wide receiver position took a serious blow Dec. 14 when they released Michael Floyd following a DUI arrest.
Larry Fitzgerald is 33 years old and remains under contract through the 2018 season, but given his age, it's time for the Cardinals to start thinking about life without their future Hall of Fame receiver.
After missing nearly the entire 2015 season due to injury, Clemson receiver Mike Williams returned to form this year and re-established himself as the premier pass-catcher in this draft class.
Williams has already topped the 1,000-yard mark for the second time in his career and set a career high with 10 touchdowns.
He'll have an opportunity to further boost his draft stock in the College Football Playoff against an Ohio State secondary that features multiple future NFL defensive backs, including cornerbacks Gareon Conley and Marshon Lattimore, each of whom could join Williams in the first round.
31. New England Patriots: O.J. Howard, TE, Alabama

When Rob Gronkowski is healthy, no team in the league is more dominant at the tight end position than the New England Patriots. Unfortunately, the Patriots can't rely on Gronk to stay on the field.
Gronkowski has missed at least five games in three of the last five seasons.
Due to his injuries and his growing contract value, the Patriots will have a difficult financial decision to make in the near future.
According to Spotrac, Gronk's cap hit will top $10 million in the 2018 and 2019 seasons, which could make him too expensive to keep around given his serious injury history.
By drafting another young, versatile tight end such as Alabama's O.J. Howard, the Patriots would add some valuable insurance behind Gronkowski.
If Gronkowski can't stay healthy and the Patriots decide to move on, Howard would be ready to step into a starting role in the near future. And even if Gronk returns to full strength and continues his career in New England, Howard could play a valuable role as his backup, given Bill Belichick's penchant for using two tight ends.
Howard is a rare collegiate tight end who excels as both a blocker and receiver, which will likely endear him to Belichick, who continues to rely on tight ends who excel in both roles.
