Brees Becomes 1st QB to Post Impressive Stat Line 30 Times
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has become the first quarterback to throw for 300 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions 30 times in a career.
He accomplished that feat with his effort Sunday against the 49ers, per NFL Communications. Brees finished the contest with 323 yards passing and three touchdowns. He's now thrown for 300 yards and three touchdowns on 55 occasions throughout his career.
Due to a poor defense, the Saints and Brees have had to sling the ball around in a lot of shootout games this season. They own just a 4-4 record after Sunday's 41-23 victory over San Francisco despite scoring the second-most points per game (30.3) in the league this season. The only team they trail is the division-rival Atlanta Falcons.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Brees has been a proficient passer throughout his career. He's led the league in passing yards six different times and topped the league in passing touchdowns four times.
He's off to another strong start in 2016. Brees has passed for 21 touchdowns and just five interceptions through eight games. He also has a league-high average of 336.0 passing yards per contest. Unless something changes in the second half of the season, Brees is on pace to easily surpass 5,000 passing yards for the fifth time in his career.
In an NFC South that seems to have a different winner every season, New Orleans remains 1.5 games back of the Falcons. The Saints head into a Week 10 matchup with the defending champion Denver Broncos.
Brees will face a tough challenge to reach 300 yards against one of the best pass defenses in the league. However, he will at least have the advantage of playing in the friendly confines of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. But the Saints have uncharacteristically gone just 2-2 through four home tilts this season.
