  • Following surgery on a torn meniscus, Denver Broncos running back C.J. Anderson has been placed on injured reserve, per NESN's Doug Kyed. In response to the news, Anderson tweeted: "Was an amazing fun year all I can do is rest up get back for the playoffs and if not get back and grind 4 next season"

  • Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles, who continues to deal with nagging knee injuries, has been ruled for Week 8 against the Indianapolis Colts, according to Terez A. Paylor of the Kansas City Star.

Dwight Freeney is a Game-Time Decision for Week 8

  • "I'm still going to take it through (Saturday) with Dwight (Freeney) and take him through the walk-through," Atlanta Falcons coach Dan Quinn said, per D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "He's made significant improvement. I'll take him through (Saturday) and maybe even take it into Sunday morning."
