Can't-Miss Matchups
New England Patriots at Cleveland Browns

One team is 3-1. The other is 0-4.Ā
Sure, this matchup probably wouldn't be featured here if Brady wasn't making his long-awaited return from suspension. But this matchup has more to offer than that storyline.Ā
Really.
To start, the Browns aren't quite as hapless as their winless record would suggest. Cleveland went up by 20 points on the Ravens in Week 2 before Baltimore came back and defeated the Browns, 25-20. The Miami Dolphins needed overtime to beat the Browns in Week 3.Ā
Cleveland is actually 12th in the league in yards per game, with 371.2. A big reason why is that the Browns are first in rushing offense, with their backfield of Isaiah Crowell (394 yards, three touchdowns) and Duke Johnson.Ā
While New England's defense has been strong this season, it is allowing an average of 101.2 rushing yards per game. The Browns will definitely be looking to gash New England on the ground.Ā
Ultimately, it's hard to see the Patriots, led by Brady, falling to Cleveland here. But don't write this matchup off as a done deal. Even if we think we know the destination, it should be a fun journey.
New York Giants at Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers are back from their Week 4 bye and set to take on the New York Giants at Lambeau Field.
The Giants have spoiled the postseason for the Packers twice in the Aaron Rodgers-Mike McCarthy era. Heading into Week 5, the Giants are desperate to keep their playoff hopes alive after two straight losses, and delivering a loss to the Packers would be a step in the right direction.
On paper, the Packers should win this matchup. But the offense has been mercurial at best, getting by on its big-play ability but failing to consistently convert third downs.
And Giants coachĀ Ben McAdooāwho is also theĀ Packers' former quarterbacks coachāknows this scheme and how to exploit it.Ā
The Packers pass defense has been one of the league's worst to open the season, allowing opponents an average of 307 passing yards per game.
The Giants rank fourth in the league in passing offense, so if Eli Manning and his receivers can exploit that weakness, they can make this a game.
Chicago Bears at Indianapolis Colts

Are the Chicago Bears on the verge of a hot streak after defeating the Detroit Lions 17-14 in Week 4?Ā
Are the Indianapolis Colts, who currently sit at fourth place in the AFC South, going to continue their slide?Ā
Week 5 is a crucial point for both teams. While neither team appears to have a legitimate chance of making the playoffs right now (though in the AFC South, anything is possible), there's a way to miss the playoffs respectably and a way that tends to get people fired or cut.Ā
Chicago has almost no chance of challenging the Packers or Minnesota Vikings for the NFC North, though the NFC wild-card race looks wide open with perennial stalwarts Arizona and Carolina off to slow starts.
But the Bears have one of the league's most talented coaching staffs and some promising young players, and they should be starting to trend upward, not the other way around.Ā
Meanwhile, Indianapolis' Andrew Luck can't stay upright to save his life. The Colts are hovering at 13th in the league in passing yards per game, with 261.2, and the emergence of Frank Gore has been promising. But the Colts need to protect their quarterback if they want to have a chance in this league.Ā
Sure, this isn't a Super Bowl 51 preview. But those who enjoy watching football can find something to root for in this story of an NFC team that should be on the rise and an AFC team struggling to retain its premier status.Ā
Plus, is there a quarterback controversy in Chicago? That's always interesting to watchāunlessĀ you're a Bears fan.Ā
