J.J. Watt Undergoes Season-Ending Back Surgery
- Houston Texans star defensive lineman J.J. Watt underwent surgery to repair a herniated disc in his back on Thursday, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. According to the Houston Chronicle's John McClain, Watt's season is over.

Pittsburgh Steelers Activate Le'Veon Bell
- Pittsburgh Steelers star running Le'Veon Bell served a three-game suspension to start the 2016 season, but he is now an active member of the roster. On Thursday, Pittsburgh released RB Daryl Richardson to make room for Bell.

Blake Barnett Withdraws from Alabama
- “We received word this afternoon that Blake Barnett has officially withdrawn from school and is no longer with our program,” Alabama head coach Nick Saban said, per Bleacher Report’s Barrett Sallee. “ The quarterback position is a very unique position where only one player can play. We are very disappointed any time a player leaves the program who feels he can compete for a starting position elsewhere, rather than here at Alabama. We wish Blake the very best of luck in the future.”

Alshon Jeffery Limited at Practice
- Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is dealing with knee and hamstring injuries that limited him during Thursday's practice, per ESPN.com's Jeff Dickerson. Bears offensive starters Jay Cutler and Jeremy Langford didn't practice at all.

Josh Gordon to Enter Rehab
- "After careful thought and deep consideration I’ve decided that I need to step away from pursuing my return to the Browns and my football career to enter an inpatient rehabilitation facility," Cleveland Browns receiver Josh Gordon said, per the team's Twitter account. "This is the right decision for me and one that I hope will enable me to gain full control of my life and continue on a path to reach my full potential as a person. I appreciate the support of the NFL, NFLPA, the Browns, my teammates, my agent and the community through this extremely challenging process."
