The Kansas City Chiefs emerged as a "sleeper team" to sign Foles earlier in the evening, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. However, Joel Thorman of Arrowhead Pride noted the Chiefs can't sign Foles to even a minimum-level contract without clearing some cap space first.
Jones Comments on Cowboys' Interest in Foles
Wednesday, Aug. 3
"We are looking at everything," said Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones, per Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "Foles is in the mix."
Garafolo reported that the Dallas Cowboys are in the mix for Foles, who could sign on Wednesday. However, Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports noted the Cowboys were also talking to other veteran quarterbacks.
Earlier Wednesday, Ed Werder of ESPN, citing a source, reported that the Cowboys were "considering" Foles as an option after Kellen Moore went down with a broken ankle.
"Foles isn't an option," Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said on July 29, per Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News. "We know him pretty well. He wouldn't get any snaps for us."

Bills, Broncos Not Signing Foles
Thursday, July 28
Foles can check two teams that could be in search of depth at quarterback off his list. Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News reported the Buffalo Bills are not interested in signing him.
In addition, Denver Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak told KKFN-FM in Denver (via NFL.com's Conor Orr) that "we've been set (at quarterback), we know which direction we're heading and it's time to go compete," though he did say he respects Foles and the success he's had in the NFL.
Foles Looking to Provide New Team with Competent Backup QB
With teams reporting to training camp this week, most of the starting quarterback situations have already been spoken for, or in the case of a team like the Broncos, competition has already been put in place.
Sean Wagner-McGough of CBS Sports ranked all 32 teams as potential landing spots for Foles, with the Dallas Cowboys coming in first because of Tony Romo's injury history and the team's lack of success in 2015 without him (1-11).
Benjamin Allbright of CBS Sports reported the Cowboys, Miami Dolphins and New York Jets were among "several teams" that were showing interest in Foles. Allbright's report did come out before Schefter reported the Jets re-signed Ryan Fitzpatrick, though.
Since his breakout 2013 season with 27 touchdowns in 13 games with the Philadelphia Eagles, Foles has struggled to recapture that success. He has thrown 20 touchdowns and 20 interceptions in 19 starts over the last two seasons, including tallying a career-low 56.4 completion percentage in 2015.
