Angels Star Mike Trout Proposes to His Girlfriend Through a Skywriter

Leave it to Mike Trout to knock a proposal out of the park.

According to Jessica Tara Cox's Instagram page (h/t Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times), Trout popped the question to his girlfriend in about the most extravagant way possible. Because the 2014 American League Most Valuable Player goes big at all times.

Sure, there's nothing wrong with getting down on one knee and pouring your feelings out—but hiring a skywriter to help with the proposal creates a fairy-tale story.

As you could probably guess, Cox said yes! Now the happy couple can look forward to a wedding.
