Report: Rolle 'Waiting for [the] Right Situation'
Monday, June 27
Rolle said on Monday he has interest from a few teams, per ESPN.com's Jeremy Fowler.
It's doubtful any team would view Rolle as a starter right now. He's 33 years old and coming off a season in which he played just seven games. The Chicago Bears placed him on injured reserve in December with a knee injury and subsequently released him after one season into a three-year deal in May.
Rolle's returns on the field were marginal before injuries knocked him out. Pro Football Focus graded him the 39th-best safety (74.9) in the league in 2015.
His chances of signing with a new team will likely be higher as the regular season approaches. He'd be a much more attractive option for a team that has either lost a safety to injury or a contract holdout. The Miami Herald's Barry Jackson reported on June 12 the Miami Dolphins have Rolle on their radar as a contingency plan.
