Jason Pierre-Paul to Spend 4th of July Outside the US After Fireworks Accident
Last year, New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul suffered a gruesome injury to his right hand in a Fourth of July fireworks accident.
This time around, he's got different plans, per Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News:
JPP returned to the G-Men after missing eight games, but he wasn't the dominant player the team used to have. He struggled to complete tackles with a massive wrap on his hand.

Pierre-Paul signed a one-year deal with Big Blue, so perhaps he'll have things figured out before the season kicks off.
He's hoping so, per James Kratch of NJ.com:
"It'll be a year. I've overcome a lot of things in my life. And that will be something I overcame, and I put it behind me. ... I'll never be completely back to normal. But I'm doing everything that they're asking me to do. I find ways around [challenges].
