Rams on the Clock

Thursday, April 14

The Titans announced they traded the No. 1 overall pick to the Los Angeles Rams:

"

The Titans have agreed to trade the No.1 pick of the draft to the Los Angeles Rams for the 15th overall pick in this year’s draft, two second-round picks (43 and 45), and a third-rounder (76) in 2016. The Titans will also receive the Rams’ first-round pick in 2017, along with their third-round pick in next year’s draft.

In addition to Tennessee’s No.1 pick this year, the Rams will also receive a fourth-round pick (113) and sixth-round pick (177) in 2016.

As a result of the trade, the Titans now have six picks in the top 76 in this year’s draft – 15, 33, 43, 45, 64 and 76. The Titans already held picks 33 and 64.

Eagles Reportedly Interested in Top Pick

Wednesday, April 13

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported the Philadelphia Eagles "have had exploratory talks" about trading up to the No. 1 overall pick to draft a quarterback.

On April 11, Peter King of MMQB reported the Titans have a "definite, solid offer for the pick" adding that "if it's sweetened" the Titans could potentially part with the pick and "go down a few spots."

King reported that the "common thought" is that the team that made the offer is the Eagles.

Ramsey the Subject of Multiple Teams' Interest

Wednesday, April 13

Bleacher Report's Jason Cole reported multiple teams are interested in acquiring the No. 1 pick in order to draft Florida State safety Jalen Ramsey:

Robinson: Other Teams 'Have Interest in Moving Up'

Thursday, April 7

Robinson indicated Tennessee has some suitors if it desires to move down in the draft, per John Glennon of the Tennessean:

"

I would say that with each day we inch closer to the draft, the discussions probably become a little bit more serious, if you will. That's something we're going back and forth with. Do we stay put with where we're at, or do we really entertain the thought of moving?

I would say the interest has increased some. I wouldn't say there are 31 teams calling, but there are certainly teams that have interest in moving up.

"

Bleacher Report's Mike Tanier isn't buying the idea, though:

The Titans don't have a ton of bargaining power. Cole reported Thursday teams aren't looking to trade up unless they do so to acquire one of the top quarterbacks available:

Everybody knew Tennessee wasn't going to take a quarterback a year after adding Marcus Mariota. As a result, they weren't in a position to float the idea they could snag Jared Goff, Carson Wentz or Paxton Lynch first overall. And as Cole noted, offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil or cornerback Jalen Ramsey aren't the kind of transcendent talents whom teams will covet.

More than likely, Robinson will have to settle for taking a gamble on Tunsil, Ramsey, defensive end Joey Bosa or another of this year's marquee prospects.
