T.J. Ward Ejected for Punch on Jeremy Maclin: Latest Comments and Reaction
Denver Broncos safety T.J. Ward was ejected Sunday for a sucker punch thrown at Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Jeremy Maclin, according to Mike Klis of 9News in Denver.
Ward attempted to chase down Chiefs running back Charcandrick West as he ran into the end zone during the fourth quarter of Denver's 29-13 loss. Ward then pushed Maclin and threw a blatant right hand at him as he was going down.
The NFL on Twitter provided a clip of West's big play, with the punch from Ward coming at the 14-second mark:

After the Broncos' 29-13 loss, Ward was asked if he'll expect to be suspended for the play, per Paul Klee of the Gazette: "That's always something you worry about. So we'll see."
However, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Monday that Ward was "not expected" to be suspended.
Sunday didn't quite go according to plan for the Broncos, to say the least. Quarterback Peyton Manning was benched after throwing four interceptions, and Ward's ejection capped off the bad afternoon.
Two weeks ago, the Broncos were 7-0 and winning games with a dominant defense. Now, after back-to-back losses, Denver seems to be abruptly flying off the rails at an awful time.
The Broncos have already lost linebacker DeMarcus Ware to a back injury for a few weeks. Losing Ward to a suspension would create yet another crack in the armor of the once-powerful Denver defense.
