Robert Turbin Waived by Browns: Latest Comments and Reaction
The Cleveland Browns waived running back Robert Turbin on Tuesday after just three appearances to create space on the active roster for offensive lineman Darrian Miller.
Cleveland confirmed the roster move on its official site. Turbin admitted last week an ankle injury he suffered during the preseason while with the Seattle Seahawks still hadn't fully healed, per Matthew Florjancic of WKYC: "No, I haven't been 100 percent yet. The ankle gets sore. It's just something I have to battle through. The doctors know it's going to be up and down. They've told me that, so I expect it to be painful sometimes. But the thing about it is it continues to get better, which is great. Today is the best it's felt."

The Browns claimed Turbin off of waivers from Seattle in September. He failed to make his presence felt in a crowded Cleveland backfield, however, carrying the ball just 18 times for 60 yards and no touchdowns in three games.
Isaiah Crowell and Duke Johnson Jr. will continue to lead the team's rushing attack. They could each pick up a few extra snaps with Turbin out of the picture, but the overall impact will be minimal.
Turbin may be best off waiting until he's back to full strength before signing with another team if he goes unclaimed. He lacked his usual first-step burst with the Browns, and that surely played a role in his quick exit. He should eventually land elsewhere in a reserve role, though.
