Daily Fantasy Football October 25: DFS Stock Up, Stock Down
Rise and shine. The Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars start Sunday's NFL slate early with the league's second London-based game this season.
For those who value sleep over LeSean McCoy and Blake Bortles, no worries. Plenty of DraftKings contests don't lock until the first batch of games start at 1 p.m. ET. Anyone enjoying a lazy Sunday morning, however, will have to skip past a highlighted player quickly rising up the ranks.
Before locking down Week 7 lineups, pay careful mind to these players either soaring or sinking on the player market.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Stock Up
Landry Jones, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers ($5,100)
Ben Roethlisberger, who hasn't played since Week 3, left the door open for a possible Sunday return. Don't hold your breath. As reported by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport on Saturday, the Pittsburgh Steelers intend on starting Landry Jones:
Replacing the ineffective and injured Michael Vick last weekend, the third-string quarterback went 8-of-12 with 168 yards and two touchdowns. Before getting too giddy, Martavis Bryant did most of the work by turning a short pass into an 88-yard touchdown. But hey, getting the ball into his talented teammates' hands is all Jones needs to do.
He has Bryant, Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell at his disposal in what becomes the NFL's most dangerous offense upon Roethlisberger's return. Jones' first career start also comes against the Kansas City Chiefs, who have allowed the third-most DraftKings points to opposing quarterbacks.
At $5,100, he's priced $100 above the position's minimum, meaning it won't take a massive performance to deliver a positive return on investment. If any one of his accompanying stars breaks off another big play, he'll prove an immense value as a quarterback punt.
Allen Robinson, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars ($6,400)

Before concluding another exemplary performance, Allen Robinson scared everyone by leaving with a leg injury. It initially looked like trouble, but the Jaguars listed their top wide receiver as probable on their latest injury report.
A full participant in Friday's practice, Robinson should be clear to play on Sunday morning. Instead of worrying about his status, onlookers can instead marvel at the 22-year-old's progress.
Isn't it nice when a popular breakout pick breaks out? Through six games, he has accrued 488 yards, five touchdowns and 18.3 DraftKings points per game. Only a dozen wideouts suiting up on Sunday or Monday have averaged more fantasy points.
With last weekend marking Robinson's 16th career game, RotoViz's Jon Moore backpedaled to the receiver's rookie registry. His numbers compared favorably to another superstar:
Robinson's stock is ticking upward, but don't sweat missing him on Sunday morning. Robinson will see a lot of Stephon Gilmore, Pro Football Focus' No. 4-graded cornerback. He's not an ideal cash play this weekend, but consider him a high-end No. 2 wideout going forward and a possible Week 7 contrarian tournament play.
Ladarius Green, TE, San Diego Chargers ($2,900)

Darn Antonio Gates' MCL. After returning from a four-game suspension with two nine-catch, 90-yard outings, he was an easy, elite Week 7 choice at tight end. A left MCL sprain, however, has derailed an optimal matchup against the Oakland Raiders.
According to Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune, Gates is now a game-time decision for a game starting at 4:05 p.m. ET:
DraftKings allows lineup swaps, but the late starts will make a move difficult if he's declared inactive after the 1 p.m. games commence. Either way, fantasy players want a decision, as Gates' absence makes Ladarius Green a must-play.
Even after a far-past-his-prime Owen Daniels broke the trend, Oakland still allows the most DraftKings points to tight ends. Daniels didn't record a single reception, but every other tight end scored at least once. Take it as the end of his fantasy relevancy rather than a sign of the Raiders fixing those woes.

With Gates out of the fold, Green received six targets each in three contests. He made them count for 14 catches, 174 yards and two scores. And even when the starter returned, his reserve remained involved in the San Diego Chargers offense, scoring a touchdown last Sunday.
If starting, Green is a no-brainer bargain at $2,900. Limit his usage to cash contests, as too many people will own him to profit in tournaments.
Stock Down
Adrian Peterson, RB, Minnesota Vikings ($7,600)

Well, this isn't good. The Minnesota Vikings made a concerning announcement on Saturday night regarding star running back Adrian Peterson:
After compiling 57 yards on 27 touches last weekend, a healthy Peterson wasn't a top choice for $7,600 against the Detroit Lions. Yet ESPN.com's Ben Goessling passed along an intriguing tidbit about his division dominance. Over his career, Minnesota's star has compiled 113.7 yards per game against the NFC North, the most by any back since the NFL and AFL merged 45 years ago.
As a result of receiving 20.2 carries per game, only Chris Ivory has averaged more rushing yards a contest than Peterson. Le'Veon Bell and Devonta Freeman, however, are far superior options in DraftKings' point-per-reception (PPR) scoring.
| Le'Veon Bell | @ KC | $8,400 | 22.9 | $366.81 |
| Devonta Freeman | @ TEN | $7,900 | 30.2 | $261.59 |
| Adrian Peterson | @ DET | $7,600 | 17.0 | $447.06 |
Detroit has divvied up 10 rushing touchdowns this season, but an ill Peterson isn't worth the staggering entry price. Throw some extra cash at Bell or Freeman. Save dough with Ivory, Todd Gurley and/or Latavius Murray.
Don't unnecessarily assume more risk when the reward doesn't beat out safer alternatives.
Terrance Williams, WR, Dallas Cowboys ($4,200)

Any fantasy gains from Terrance Williams' promotion to No. 1 wide receiver quickly vanished when Tony Romo went down. In three games without his starting quarterback, Williams has reeled in five of 18 targets for 79 yards and a touchdown.
The 26-year-old isn't the type of possession receiver who can overcome poor passing on the strength of more reps. Cole Beasley and Jason Witten are catching more balls, but not enough to count on weekly. Even Dallas' running game consists of a giant question mark clouding the weekly work distribution.
It's temping to eye a bounce-back from Williams against the New York Giants, whose 298.5 passing yards allowed per game is less than a yard away from the NFL-worst Raiders. Yet he has already faltered against two bottom-10 passing defenses, tallying 49 yards against the No. 24 New Orleans Saints and nothing versus the No. 29 Atlanta Falcons.
Williams doesn't hold fantasy relevancy until Romo returns, and Dez Bryant will offset any stock spike by beating Romo back.
