Tuesday, Sept. 27
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin told reporters Timmons had a "punctured shin wound" but "appears to be fine."
Timmons Is Valuable Member of Steelers Defense
Timmons has become one of the league's most reliable linebackers since the Steelers drafted him in the first round of the 2007 draft. Along with being a tackling machine, he's also showcased plenty of versatility and is able to fill any void in the linebacking corps.
Another key aspect of his game is durability. The Florida State product has missed just two regular-season games throughout his career and none since the 2009 campaign. Being able to stay on the field week in and week out is a vastly underrated trait.
