Daily Fantasy Baseball 2015: MLB FanDuel Ideal Lineup for June 2
UPDATE: Yasmani Grandal and Andre Ethier will not be playing in the early LA vs COL game. I will replace them in my lineup with Mike McKenry ($2800) and Alex Guerrero ($3300). We can't let the thin air go to waste!
After our 51.75-point explosion on June 1, we will continue to ride the Mets' pitching and the Dodgers' hitting. Keep in mind that we will be relying heavily on the game at Coors Field (LA vs COL), which is slated for 3:10 p.m. EDT. The second game between these two teams (8:40 p.m. EDT) will not count for FanDuel points.
As always, confirm that your chosen players are in their respective team's lineup, and stay away from games that may be rained out. An excellent website for lineups and weather is Rotowire.com.
P Noah Syndergaard, $8300
Thor has averaged 13.77 FanDuel points in his last three starts. Syndergaard will also be pitching to the Padres, who are now second in the majors with 433 strikeouts. Petco Park also helps.
C Yasmani Grandal, $3300
1 of 8
Grandal's price tag rose $600 on a day he did not play. Dodgers in Colorado are a hot commodity, especially when Jorge De La Rosa (6.51 ERA) is on the mound for the Rockies. Expect Yasmani to be in the lineup on Tuesday.
UPDATE: Grandal will not be playing in the early game (the one that counts) so we will instead use the Rockies' Mike McKenry, who will be facing Juan Nicasio.
1B Albert Pujols, $3300
2 of 8
FanDuel forgot about Albert. His price is slowing rising, but he is still not receiving enough respect. Pujols has homered five times in the Angels' last five games. He will be facing a talented Chris Archer, but Albert's fat bat is too hot to be ignored for the low price of $3300.
2B Howie Kendrick, $3400
3 of 8
Kendrick's price rose after he homered and accumulated nine FanDuel points in the first game against the Rockies. The second game will offer the same amount of opportunity with a high-ERA pitcher, Jorge De La Rosa, and Colorado's thin air.
3B Nolan Arenado, $4000
4 of 8
Let's continue loading up with red-hot hitters. Arenado has homered six times in the Rockies' last eight games, including one Monday night against Clayton Kershaw. He may face Zack Greinke, but we don't care.
SS Andrelton Simmons, $2300
5 of 8
Simmons was a bargain buy on Monday ($2200), and he rewarded us with 5.5 FanDuel points. He will be slugging in hitter-friendly Chase Field while facing Josh Collmenter (5.05 ERA). Simmons continues to be the special of the day.
Outfielder Joc Pederson, $4000
6 of 8
We were high on the imminent NL Rookie of the Year yesterday, and he rewarded us with his 14th home run of the season. We will continue to ride the 23-year-old's power in Coors Field.
Outfielder Andre Ethier, $3100
7 of 8
We liked Ethier's value yesterday ($2600), and he provided 9.25 FanDuel points for our trust. He's still in Colorado and will still face a pitcher with a high ERA.
UPDATE: Ethier will not be playing in the early game and we will use the Dodger outfielder who is playing, Alex Guerrero. Bombs away!
Outfielder Billy Burns, $3300
8 of 8
Billy Burns has been a fantasy find. He is currently batting .327 with an on-base percentage of .373. Once Burns gets on base, the two-point steals come frequently for this speed demon.
