Rex Grossman Turns Down Offer from the Browns with Family in Town

With injuries to Johnny Manziel and Brian Hoyer, the quarterback situation is looking bleak in Cleveland.
In need of a healthy arm, the Browns actually reached out to free-agent signal-caller Rex Grossman.
Surprisingly, the 12-year journeyman turned down the offer with his family in town.

"As a veteran with more than 10 years in the NFL, Grossman would have been due — at the minimum — one-seventeenth of $910,000 for his week of work. That's $53,529.41 by our count for less than a full week's work, really six days from today through Sunday.
