Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News has an update on Prince Amukamara's status:

An already depleted New York Giants secondary suffered another blow Monday night.

Cornerback Prince Amukamara injured his biceps against the Indianapolis Colts and didn't return to the game, per Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News:

Jordan Raanan of NJ.com provided a brutal update on Amukamara in the fourth quarter:

After the Colts' 40-24 win, coach Tom Coughlin briefly commented on the injury, via Dan Graziano of ESPN.com:

Vacchiano highlighted how many problems the unit had coming into Week 9:

The team listed its other starting cornerback, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, questionable for the game before confirming he was active just before kickoff.

Amukamara has been one of New York's most important defensive players in 2014. Entering Monday, he was second on the team in tackles, with 34. His three interceptions put him in a tie for fifth in the NFL, while his 11 passes defended were tied for third.

A pass defense that ranks 25th in yards allowed per game will only continue to languish without one of its starting corners.

With the 6-2 Philadelphia Eagles beating the Houston Texans on Sunday, New York can't afford to cede any more ground in the NFC East. The Giants' playoff hopes remain somewhat slim, and they're not going to improve if Amukamara misses major time.
