Broncos Knock off Cowboys as America's Favorite Team According to Harris Poll

Kyle NewportOct 14, 2014

The Dallas Cowboys are often referred to as America's Team, but they can no longer lay claim to that title.

According to The Harris Poll (surveying 2,543 adults) taken back in September, the Denver Broncos are now America's  favorite team. The Cowboys had spent the past six years atop the poll but fell to No. 4 this year.

The Seattle Seahawks—the defending Super Bowl champions—jumped six spots all the way up to No. 6 this year.

The AFC South didn't get much love. No team finished higher than No. 26, which is where the Indianapolis Colts came in. The Jacksonville Jaguars and the Tennessee Titans tied for 31st.

Jacksonville has now found itself at the bottom of the list five straight years and has been at the bottom in every year but one since 2005.

Here are the top 10 teams in the poll:

3Green Bay Packers
4Dallas Cowboys
5Pittsburgh Steelers
6Seattle Seahawks
7San Francisco 49ers
8New England Patriots
