Moving Today's Market

It's all about roundball tonight as three NBA teams—Houston, Phoenix and Dallas—try to stave off elimination.

The Rockets, who surprised Utah in Salt Lake City last week, have the luxury of playing in front of their home crowd. Currently trailing 3 games to 1, T Mac and his Yao-less minions are lukewarm 1.5 point favorites to extend the series to a Latter Day.

The Suns, who were beginning to take their final walk toward the bright light that indicates you're about to expire, managed to pull off a win over the machine-like defending champion Spurs. Tony Parker seemed save everything he has this year for the playoffs, and the Suns are paying dearly. Meanwhile, Shaq continues to have fun on the floor and entertain the fans, but at times resembles a monster truck lumbering amidst a bunch of much faster and better handling sports cars. San Antonio is favored by 5. If Nash and crew can get it together again tonight, the series swings back to the land of the setting Suns for game 6.

Meanwhile, there's no joy in Dirty Dirk Nowitzki-ville. The Hornets, behind Chris Paul and David West, are 7-point favorites to close out the series tonight against the Mavs in The Big Easy. No Kidding.

The Pistons awoke from their uncharacteristic slumber to dominate the '76ers at the end of game four. Back home tonight, they've been installed as 9.5-point chalk to take a 3-2 series lead.
