You can go ahead and keep Andre Johnson's name well away from the naughty list.

Fox Sports' Andy Nesbitt reports the Houston Texans receiver, amid a trying season, is once again bringing cheer and toys to local children.

This is the seventh annual toy giveaway for Johnson, and one that saw him spend a total of $17,352. According to the report, 12 kids and their siblings were given 80 seconds to nab whatever their hearts desired from the store.

You can see some of the spree in the video posted below.

Johnson did the same thing last year, racking up a $19,000 bill for kids from Child Protective Services who were given a chance at getting that toy they wanted for the holidays.

This year's lot included a game system and two games along with the loot the kids were able to bring down from store shelves.

The 32-year-old explained the simple reason he does this in the video: "It's fun for the kids and it's fun for me. It's something I enjoy seeing every year, so I figure why not keep doing it?"

The kids were again picked from the local CPS and taken to a nearby Toys R Us. One child said simply, "I think he's awesome."

Unfortunately, the Texans are having a rough year, securing just two wins to go along with their 11 losses. As the playoffs approach, Johnson isn't about to resort to Grinch-like tactics.

In fact, just appreciate the sight of Johnson holding up what looks like a lengthy roll of names on Santa's list. Instead, it's the bill for a whole bunch of wonderful.

We could go on and on about how awesome this is and how younger players should take note of a veteran helping out the community and representing the Texans franchise well.

Really, we'd rather let the star receiver have the last word. As he states in the video, "It's the holiday season, a time for giving."
