MLB Draft Big Board 2013: Mike Rosenbaum's Complete Pre-Draft Rankings
With the 2013 MLB Rule 4 draft less than a month away, it's time to take a look at the premier players in this year's class.
Compared to previous draft classes, the crop of talent on this year's board is comparatively weaker; there are only a few prospects who are regarded as potential impact players in the majors. And with every organization expected to target players based on the spending limitations (draft pool) of MLB's collective bargaining agreement, it's almost impossible to accurately predict just how early some players will be selected.
However, as part of Prospect Pipeline's all-out draft coverage leading up to and through the event, which is held annually June 6-8, I've put together a series of rankings to familiarize everyone with many of the names in this year's class.
Please note that this is not a mock draft or a prediction of exactly where players will be selected. You can expect every player on these lists to be taken in the draft. Therefore, the following rankings are based upon a player's potential impact as a major league player.
As it always goes with the MLB draft, any number of things can and will change between now and June 6. So, be sure to check back frequently over the coming weeks for updated rankings and further insight as to how the draft may unfold.
