Seattle Seahawks rookie quarterback Russell Wilson was fantastic for fantasy football owners on Sunday night with his four-touchdown performance against the San Francisco 49ers, and for people playing in their fantasy championship game, he must be started in Week 17.

Not only does Wilson make an impact in the passing game, but he's also able to make big plays in the rushing attack along with star running back Marshawn Lynch.

In his last eight games, Wilson has thrown multiple touchdown passes six times (17 touchdown passes and three interceptions total in those three games).

His passing performances have gotten a lot better as the season has progressed, and since he doesn't turn the ball over very often (only 10 interceptions all year), Wilson is one of the most reliable quarterbacks you can start in Week 17.

The St. Louis Rams are Wilson's opponent in the final matchup of the year, and since the Seahawks can still win the NFC West Division if the 49ers lose to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, there is still plenty to play for this week in Seattle.

St. Louis has the 15th-ranked pass defense, but it allowed 337 yards passing to Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman in Week 16.

Opposing quarterbacks are completing 65.7 percent of their passes against the Rams this year, which is good news for Wilson, who completed 15 of his 21 pass attempts against San Francisco on Sunday night.

Wilson only needs one more touchdown pass to tie Peyton Manning's all-time rookie quarterback record for touchdown passes with 26. Expect Wilson to break this record by throwing for at least two touchdowns against an average Rams pass defense this week.

Not many teams that have already clinched a playoff berth will likely play their starting quarterback the entire game in Week 17, but as a rookie quarterback for a team that has a chance to win a division title, Wilson should see plenty of playing time on Sunday. Getting more experience as a starter before the playoffs will only help his development.

Wilson is one of the most reliable quarterbacks you can start in your fantasy league in Week 17, and after a great game against the strong 49ers defense, he should end the year with another impressive performance.
