Robert Griffin III is one of the hottest players to own in fantasy leagues over the past two weeks.

Griffin has 511 yards passing and eight touchdowns on only 43 pass attempts. If that wasn’t enough, Griffin’s abilities in the run game have also accounted for over 100 yards on the ground in that time.

The last time Griffin faced the Giants, it was in New York when he threw for 258 yards and two scores in what turned out to be a close game.

Just last season, the Redskins swept the Giants, and while New York is coming off an impressive win against the Packers, I expect the Redskins to win this game.

It should be a high-scoring affair.

Griffin will be helped by the fact that his top receiver, Pierre Garcon, is finally healthy enough to make an impact on the field. Last week, we watched him make an impressive catch and run for a long touchdown against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving.

Griffin is a top five fantasy play every week going forward.

What Did We Learn From Week 12?

You can never underestimate the power of a rivalry game, and the Broncos sure fell into a trap as they traveled to Kansas City last week. Manning struggled to move the offense early and the Chiefs defense made life tough in the fourth quarter.

Expect Manning to have an easier time this week. The Broncos come back home and play against a Buccaneers defense prone to giving up big passing plays, leaving them dead last in the league against the pass.

Another test, another passing grade for second-year quarterback Colin Kaepernick as the 49ers traveled down to New Orleans and picked up a big win.

Kaepernick’s ability to stretch the field will prove to be a deadly weapon in the weeks to come and his running ability makes him a low-end starting quarterback at this point in time.

Sean’s Week 13 Watch List

- Eli Manning proved his arm-strength was back after the teams bye week and it also appears that Hakeem Nicks is finally back to full strength.

This is terrific news for Manning owners, and while RG3 lights up the Giants defense, Manning will be right behind him leading the Giants back and racking up the fantasy points this week.

- Cam Newton showed life on Monday night, so we can expect big plays in the passing game to continue in Kansas City.

As we found out last season, when Newton is passing well, he’s a dangerous player in fantasy leagues when you add his running ability into the mix.
