Atlanta Falcons vs. Philadelphia Eagles: Live Score, Highlights and Analysis

The Atlanta Falcons just dominated the Philadelphia Eagles for 60 minutes of football. They won 30-17 after the Eagles never taking the lead.
The Falcons defense played tremendously and held the Eagles to just 10 points until allowing a touchdown late in the fourth. They showed that they are much improved from previous years, and the addition of Corey Peters was crucial.
On offense, the Falcons got stopped on their final two drives, but they already did the damage needed to win. Ryan finished 22-for-29 (75.8 percent) for 262 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. Julio Jones had five catches for 123 yards and a touchdown. They looked unstoppable.

On fourth-and-one, the Falcons lost a yard.
Trent Cole and Tony Gonzalez got into a fight after the play. There were offsetting penalties called on both players. This was a top notch win for the Falcons.
From the two minute warning, the Falcons ran it with Turner for another two yards. On third-and-five, the Falcons lost a yard on a run. On fourth-and-six, the Falcons drew the Eagles offsides to set up a fourth-and-one with 20 seconds left.

At the two minute warning, the Falcons are up 30-17. The Eagles have no timeouts and the ball at the Eagles 32-yard line. They should be able to earn a quick first down and force the game to end quickly. The Falcons have made a statement today that they are an excellent all around team.
Kroy Biermann got triple teamed and still wound up getting his second tackle of Vick on the game. The Falcons take over after a throw away by Vick. The Falcons are leading 30-17 with 2:24 left.
Kroy Biermann got a sack on first down for a seven-yard loss. Second-and-17, the Eagles gained just seven yards. On third-and-10, Michael Vick threw the ball away on what was a holding call. The Falcons are forcing the Eagles to have a terrible series right now.

On third-and-seven from the Eagles 45, Matt Ryan got sacked for an 11-yard loss. Then the Falcons took a delay of game penalty and punted it away. Casey Matthews tipped the punt to give the Eagles the ball at their own 42-yard line.
Michael Turner gained four on his twentieth carry of the game to force an Eagles timeout. On second-and-six, Turner lost a yard and the Eagles called their final timeout. With 4:36 left in the game, the Eagles have no timeouts left.
On first down, Jeremy Maclin missed the pass and then Nicholas got called for an unnecessary roughness penalty. From the 50, Vick had a ball miss high. Then on second down, the Falcons forced a two yard loss from LeSean McCoy to force third-and-12.
Third-and-12 was then knocked down to force the fourth-and-12 play. On fourth down, Vick threw it away and the Falcons take over at the 50-yard line with 4:50 left in the game.

On third-and-four, the Falcons missed their first big third down conversion of the game. Matt Bosher had his first punt for 52 yards. DeSean Jackson returned it for seven to the 35-yard line. The Eagles will take over from their own 35 with 5:24 left to go.
Jacquizz Rodgers with his worst return of the year to set the Falcons up for a first down from the 14.
Michael Turner gained six on first down and then got stopped for nothing on the second down.
The Falcons shut down LeSean McCoy for a three yard loss on first-and-goal from the four. On second down, the Falcons blitzed heavily and forced the terrible throw by Vick. On third and goal, McCoy scored a touchdown on a screen pass.

Weatherspoon walked off the field on his own power, so that's encouraging for him. However, he was later carted off the field.
The Eagles are gaining yardage by the chunk right now. On a second-and-one, the Falcons stopped McCoy for a one-yard loss. Then on third down, LeSean McCoy rumbled for a first.
Sean Weatherspoon was injured on the play holding his knee. That would be a tremendous loss for the Falcons if he is out for any stretch of time.
On third-and-nine, John Abraham knocked it down in the backfield. On fourth-and-nine, the Eagles went for it, and Vick hit Celek for 14 yards to get another first down.

LeSean McCoy got another first down on a quick run and then gained another four on first-and-10 from the 50. On a short screen to Maclin on second down, Dunta Robinson had a tremendous tackle to force a third-and-nine from the Falcons 49-yard line.
On first down, Sean Weatherspoon blitzed and Abraham cleaned up for his seventh sack of the season. On second-and-14, the Eagles ran a LeSean McCoy screen pass to set up third-and-three. On third down, Vick scrambled for the first down.

At the end of the third quarter, the Falcons are up 27-10 and about to set up for a field goal to possibly extend the lead.
On the second down play, Ryan had an excellent play action set up but couldn't find anyone open. So he had to throw it away. On third-and-nine from the Eagles 17, Ryan hit Jacquizz Rodgers for four yards to set up a shorter field goal attempt and end the third quarter.
After a one-yard gain by Jason Snelling, Ryan hit Julio Jones for another 10-yard gain to bring the ball down to the 18-yard line. Turner gained another yard to set up second-and-nine from the Eagles 17-yard line.

Michael Turner is slowly but surely getting back to the rumbling back he was. He had a six-yard gain and then Jacquizz Rodgers got the second down play. On the second down play, Jacquizz Rodgers had a tremendous gain for 43 yards.
First-and-10 from the 10-yard line, Michael Turner got stopped for a two-yard loss. On second down, Tony Gonzalez got interfered with, and both him and Mychal Kendricks fell down to force the automatic first down at the 22-yard line.
With 5:10 left in the third, the Eagles punt it to the Falcons nine-yard line, and Dominique Franks fair caught the ball.
