Tampa Bay Rays Throw Epic Geek Fest with Star Trek Night

The Tampa Bay Rays decided to geek up things at Tropicana Field on Thursday night by hosting “Star Trek Night at the Trop." 

It was gorgeous. 

Excuse me while I pleasantly freak out over my fellow nerds who decided a mere t-shirt supporting the team wasn't enough on this special night. 

Many decided to rock full Federation uniform as they made like Star Trek and went where not many fans went before, to Tropicana Field. 

Seriously, like, nobody goes to see the Rays play.

In this particular one, I am inclined to believe that may actually be William Shatner. Something about the body type gives it away. 

Then there is this young lady who went the lame-sauce route and decided to just wear a t-shirt. Granted, this is pretty much the lengths I would go to at a Star Trek event, but still. 

I also find it a tad vexing that so many fans decided to go with either Federation garb or Klingon wardrobe. I mean, seriously?

Where are my fellow Trekkies and their imaginative recreations of Cardassians, Bajorans or Ferengi. Actually, forget that noise. 

Ferengi are not to be trusted, so good job, Tampa Bay.
