WFAN's Mike Francesa Destroys Hapless NY Mets in Epic Rant

Oh, dear. The New York Mets angered the already grumpy Mike Francesa to record levels of frustration, and the result was beautiful. 

It's rare that a sports-talk rant goes viral, but that is exactly what happens when you mix one part Francesa with equal parts Mets futility. 

The 'ol man who is clueless when it comes to technology, Twitter and social media in general is just as flabbergasted as to how the Mets have managed to fall to the depths they have this season. 

The Mets were just swept by the equally-inept Colorado Rockies, and Francesa has had enough, giving us the one thing that is missing in normal sports-talk shows: emotion. 

He damn near emoted himself into a stroke as he bashed the team's effort and manager Terry Collins' effectiveness. 

Around the 1:48 mark, Francesa really gets going. He starts to read off some records and numbers, and each one gets him more riled up, like a father getting more irate at all the C's and D's he sees on a report card. 

Every last fan has had a rant like this. Only, it takes place in a bar or in a car on the ride home from the stadium, expletives peppering the explosion of words. 

That's what makes this rant so great. Francesa is far more than some talk-show host. For a few minutes, he is a normal fan who has pretty much lost it when it comes to the Mets.
