Giants wideout Victor Cruz, a top-10 fantasy asset at his position, scored four of his nine touchdowns last season from 68 yards or longer.

Here are my updated draft tiers for wide receivers before the third full week of the NFL preseason.

The first two tiers may only have 22 theoretical locks for 1,150 total yards and/or nine touchdowns, but there's still plenty of wideout depth for 12- 14- and 16-team drafts.

It's worth noting that Indy's Austin Collie (concussion symptoms) and San Diego's Vincent Brown (broken ankle) are off my board for an indefinite period.

Tier 1 (1,275 total yards and/or 11 TD)
Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Wes Welker, Andre Johnson, Roddy White, Victor Cruz

Tier 2 (1,150 total yards and/or 9 TD)
Julio Jones, Mike Wallace, Dwayne Bowe, Jordy Nelson, Greg Jennings, Steve Smith, Brandon Marshall, Percy Harvin, Marques Colston, Dez Bryant, Reggie Wayne, Vincent Jackson, A.J. Green, Steve Johnson, Jeremy Maclin, Hakeem Nicks

Practice Makes Perfect

Fantasy owners should have already begun the process of mock drafting. Here are six excellent sites for daily mocking—covering standard-scoring and keeper leagues. (ESPN.com is my preferred auctioneer.)
