The Lions and Ravens will employ both of their starting offenses for at least the first quarter in this one. That means plenty of Calvin Johnson, Matthew Stafford and Ray Rice to keep you entertained on Friday night.
During its Week 1 preseason loss to the Cleveland Browns, Detroit’s depth was exposed as the Browns’ third and fourth stringers came back to win the game.
Like Cleveland, Baltimore is also a very deep team and capable of imposing its top notch defense throughout four quarters of a preseason game.

The battle of the Meadowlands will highlight the Tim Tebow and Mark Sanchez drama that has surrounded the Jets since they signed Tebow. Besides the Tebow story, the Jets are trying out wide receivers in a very thin squad that is headlined by Santonio Holmes. Rookie and athletic freak Stephen Hill didn’t blow up in his first game, but he did catch two passes for 27 yards.
On the other side of the ball, the New York Giants have some excitement to watch for themselves. They are featuring two explosive rookies in Rueben Randle and David Wilson and they will likely get significant action in this one as they prepare for the regular season.
Wilson averaged 6.1 yards-per-carry on six carries in his opening week debut. Randle added 27 yards on two receptions and one late, fourth-quarter touchdown.
Philadelphia Eagles at New England Patriots
When: Mon., August 19 at 8 p.m. ET
TV: ESPN and NFL RedZone

The new-look New England Patriots offense, who added two running backs through the draft and wide receiver Brandon Lloyd through free agency, will square off with the high flying Philadelphia Eagles. Any time these two offenses are involved, there are sure to be big plays and excitement.
This game has the potential to be a Super Bowl preview if both teams play to their potential and avoid major injuries this season.
Michael Vick injured his hand in Week 1 of the preseason, but will likely be a factor for a good portion of the first half due to the more serious injury to backup QB Mike Kafka. The injury to Vick’s hand wasn’t serious and he will likely not miss any time as a result.
