Super Bowls aren’t decided in April, but there are definitely winners and losers in the NFL offseason.

While the draft receives the bulk of the hype, adding proven players is where teams make immediate leaps in the product they put on the field.

In the case of the Denver Broncos, that means going all-in on Peyton Manning still having something left in the tank.

As part of making the polar shift from the run-first Tim Tebow offense, the Broncos also added two pass-catching tight ends to give Peyton a few more targets.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Buffalo Bills have been the big spenders in free agency, as both franchises work to pull themselves from the mire of mediocrity.

The Bills added the best available guy not named Manning, Mario Williams, and kept top wideout Stevie Johnson from bolting out of Buffalo.

Tampa may have overpaid in a few places, but it made major upgrades in its secondary, receiving corps and offensive line. It remains to be seen if that will be enough to resurrect the career of Josh Freeman.

The 49ers built on a year of surprising success by returning all of their defensive starters, adding playoff hero Mario Manningham and taking a risk-free run on Randy Moss

Let’s take a look at the five NFL teams that are winning the offseason in this edition of Bleacher Report Spotlight.
