Breaking Down New Nike NFL Uniforms, Jerseys and Apparel Line
Nike and the NFL have finally teamed up to deliver new uniforms and apparel for every team in the league. Join me as we break it all down and consequently freak out.
Yes, we have been waiting for what seems like eons for this day to come. It's almost like Christmas Day, albeit with less relatives, no gifts and a lot more discussion on what the Jaguars look like.
Still, it's a day that deserves our appreciation. Nike really gets us consumers, and we can once again see swagger in almost every jersey they are releasing.
The following is the latest and greatest that was released on Tuesday as the NFL finally dropped the curtain and showed what Nike has in store for us.
As with any endeavor where uniforms will be touched up and tweaked, there are some hits and some abysmal misses.
This is great news either way, because as long as the entertainment value is high, we can consider it a victory.
Let's walk down the NFL version of the catwalk and dish on the newest threads.
Welcome, Nike

Jacksonville Jaguars

"Here is Laurent Robinson with the #Jaguars Nike primary home jerseys. Teal, not black.lockerz.com/s/198174712

As you can see, Robinson doesn't look the least bit happy. Perhaps it's the fact that the jerseys are nearly identical to last season's.
I guess Nike's thought was, "why change something so mediocre?" Someone send Robinson a hug.
Seattle Seahawks
3 of 15Now we get to some serious change.
The Seattle Seahawks page gives us this pants and jersey section that tells us they have kept the depressing blue-on-blue look and have not incorporated the ugly green.
I am not sure whether I should be happy or sad that the Seahawks don't get a ton of national TV love.
On the one hand, these are hard to look at, but on the other, they are kind of fun in a tacky way. It kind of brings you back to the '90s, doesn't it?
Seattle Seahawks
4 of 15Here are the jerseys that are actually easier to deal with from a pure human sight point of view. They have the green trim and funky stripe, but it's muted in the all whites.
As you can see, muted is a good thing when it comes to Seattle jerseys.
The best part, in my opinion, is the trim on the shoulders that has been added with the team name. The rest is going to take some getting used to.
Here is a cool video from Nike that features the Seattle uniforms.
Gloves: St. Louis Rams
5 of 15Nike also released gloves and I have to say that they do accessories right. There is almost too much swagger in these things.
I would be glad to catch some 40-yards bombs in these bad boys.

Gloves: Washington Redskins
6 of 15The Redskins gloves are looking just as sweet, also via Clifton Brown.
Chicago Bears
7 of 15Nike brings us some stunning photos of the 2012 Chicago Bears.
Perhaps Jay Cutler will flash a smile wearing these new threads.
Buffalo Bills
8 of 15This pic comes from the Buffalo Bills official website, and it shows a close-up of what the team will be suiting up in for the foreseeable future.
The changes are slight, but I like the trim around the collar. Overall, it could have used a little more novelty.
Philadelphia Eagles
9 of 15CNBC's Darren Rovell brings us some close-up shots of the jerseys, and here are the Eagles.
Again, not much to rant and rave about.
New York Giants
10 of 15CNBC's Darren Rovell gives us the Giants jerseys.
Really, there is no reason to mess with a good thing.
Indianapolis Colts
11 of 15Thanks goes out to Paul Lukas to allow millions of Colts fans to breathe a sigh of relief. No need to worry anymore, your classic look is saved in the Nike transition.
Denver Broncos
12 of 15Paul Lukas also gets us nice and cozy with what Peyton Manning will be suiting up in for the 2012 season. These might be my favorites of the bunch.
Combining the orange alternates with the dark blue piping makes Denver look all the more sleek.
Green Bay Packers

The classic look remains and that is a very good thing.
Shoes: Baltimore Ravens
14 of 15Nike has always done footwear like champions, so it's no surprise that the Baltimore Ravens' kicks are pure heaven.
It makes you want to go get a pair and start running some drills.

What did you think of the uniforms that were delivered courtesy of Nike? Hits, misses and anything in between should be noted.
It's time to sound off and make your voice heard. I say it's a beautiful day where measured changes were delivered, save for some classics.
Let's just forget the Seahawks exist. We do that every season anyway.
