Fantasy Baseball Draft Results: 10 B/R Writers Gear Up for the Fantasy Season

The Bleacher Report Writers League Fantasy Baseball draft was held recently. Ten writers are participating in the league.  

The batter stats used in the league are: HRs, RBIs, Steals, Runs, AVG and OBP. The pitcher stats used are Ks, Ws, Saves, Holds, ERA and WHIP.

If your league has not drafted yet, you might want to use this article as a cheat-sheet for your draft.

Discussion

You can see in the results that various different strategies were used:

• Roach waited until the sixth round to take his first pitcher, and it was a closer. He didn't grab a starting pitcher until the ninth round. 

• Hanford didn't get a starting pitcher until the 11th round.

• Hansen made three of his first five picks starting pitchers

• Bush has three center fielders and four men that can play first base.

• Doop has no pitcher that recorded a hold last season.
