Peyton Manning to Denver Broncos: Deal Analysis, Grade and Twitter Reaction
ESPN's Chris Mortensen took to Twitter and broke news that the entire sports world was waiting for. Peyton Manning is apparently headed west to play for the Denver Broncos.
ESPN's Adam Schefter also chimed in, claiming that barring an unexpected development, Manning would sign with the Broncos. Reports are suggesting that Manning directed his agent to get a deal done with Denver and, based on previous reports, it could be in the five-year, $90 million range.
This news is sure to hit the internet hard, as everyone explores the angles of what this means for Manning and, of course, Tim Tebow.

Twitter immediately exploded when the news went public, and everyone seemed to have a reaction to it.
Assuming this deal gets done—and it certainly appears that it will—Tebow's time in Denver is coming to an end.
It may be difficult to admit this after Tebow guided the Broncos into the postseason, but the 24-year-old has never appeared to be ready to start under center in the NFL. His career completion percentage is just 47.3, and he has an abysmal career passer rating of 75.1.
At this juncture, it appears that Tebowmania will be headed to a new city, and John Elway and head coach John Fox will finally have the pure passer they've longed for at quarterback.
The Broncos have shocked everyone with this acquisition. They weren't even on the radar as a possible destination for the 11-time Pro Bowler before he headed to the Mile High City for a visit in his search for a new home. Now, the soon-to-be 36-year-old signal-caller will be calling Denver home for the foreseeable future.
The Broncos have landed a guy who, if healthy, will vastly improve an offense that ranked 23rd in the NFL in 2011 and was 31st in passing yards.
Elway and Fox deserve a lot of credit for getting this done, and the team and fans should be very happy with the outcome. The franchise has the cap room to absorb the gigantic contract Manning will likely receive, so there really is no downside to this signing when it becomes official.
