2012 NFL Draft: Analyzing the Top Prospects with Absolutely Blazing Speed
With the 2012 NFL Scouting Combine kicking off today, the pre-draft event known for its 40-yard dash exhibition, it's fitting that I discuss the fastest prospects in this year's class.
Let's take a look.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Yes, a quarterback may be one of the fastest players at this year's combine. Robert Griffin III is a lock to be a top-five selection and has loads of promise as an NFL quarterback.
He's also a world-class sprinter.
The Baylor signal-caller ran in the Olympic 400-meter hurdle trials and advanced to the semifinals.
I'd be shocked if he runs higher than 4.4 this weekend.
Chris Rainey, RB, Florida
Rainey was a decorated track star at Florida along with his respectable career on the gridiron. He was once clocked at 10.66 in the 100-meter dash for the Gators and was an outdoor track All-American.
His backfield mate and buddy, Jeff Demps, decided to turn down a combine invite in order to pursue a track career.
There's even a University of Florida urban legend that Rainey took down Demps in an off-field head-to-head race in 2008.
Expect a time in low 4.3s from this burner.
Kendall Wright, WR, Baylor
Although Wright never ran for the Bears track team in college, he was an all-state high school sprinter in Texas.
He ran the 100-meter dash in 11 seconds for Pittsburg (Texas) High School and put on many astonishing displays of stunning acceleration and speed within Baylor's offense the last two seasons.
Expect him to be the fastest wide receiver in the 40-yard dash this weekend.
