Another day, another game without Dwyane Wade. Ira Winderman of the Florida Sun Sentinel reports that the Heat’s captain will be missing in action Wednesday night against the Detroit Pistons:
His foot is not heeling at the rate fans would like but there is no reason to panic. A January game against the Pistons at the quarter mark of the season is as meaningless of a regular season affair as there is. The Heat are doing the right thing by allowing his foot plenty of time to heel.
Remember: The Heat are 7-1 without him this season.

Dwyane Wade has been ruled out for Tuesday night’s game against the San Antonio Spurs, according to Tim Reynolds of The Associated Press.
The Miami Heat were forced to take Wade out in the fourth quarter of a loss to the Denver Nuggets on Friday night when he came down awkwardly on his ankle. ESPN’s Michael Wallace reported that the superstar shooting guard is dealing with three different injuries now.
Reynolds reported that the ankle is what coach Erik Spoelstra is indicating as the reason for Wade’s absence—the strained calf and bruised foot aren’t as big of a concern.
After that Denver game, Wade told reporters that he had never experienced more severe pain stemming from a sprain in his entire life than the one suffered that night.
Chris Bosh, one of Miami’s “Big Three,” stated that the team was prepared to deal with losing Wade for an extended period of time.
""We're going to have to do what we have to do to keep things going," Heat forward Chris Bosh said. "We're still expected to win games. It's not the first time he's been injured. We all have been injured before. We just have to cope with it. Things have hit us early, so we'll see where our minds are at going forward."
"
The last time Wade was out, the Heat ripped off three straight wins in the games he sat on the bench, including a triple-OT thriller against the Atlanta Hawks.
While Wade certainly isn’t the reason for Miami's current three-game losing streak, perhaps some extended time for him to rest and recover will allow LeBron James and Bosh to find their rhythm and get this team back on track.
Keep it tuned here throughout the week for the latest updates on Dwyane Wade’s injuries and when you should expect him to return.
