For the Patriots the question now is what to do at QB.
Nearly a decade ago the Patriots had a QB that had taken them to the Super Bowl in Drew Bledsoe. Drew signed a 10 year deal and got hurt in the second game of the 2001 season. Some dude named Tom Brady took over and never gave the job back.
Would the Patriots stay with something that worked (you can't call 11 & 5 a failure) and slap the franchise tag on Cassell? They've switched horses before. Phil Simms lost his job to Jeff Hostetler. Even Joe Montana couldn't take his job back from Steve Young.
Might Tom Brady become ever cursed to wear green in the Meadowlands?
