NFL Week 11 Waiver Wire Pickups: Kendall Hunter and More Fantasy Saviors

Gabe ZaldivarNov 17, 2011

Here are the best that the waiver-wire have to offer in Week 11. Let me tell you that no owner will be disappointed with the fantasy stars who are about to explode here.

The weather is perfect for a good old fashioned rise of a couple sleepers. The matchups and recent injuries demand that the next few guys should be picked up before any of your fantasy opponents get wise.

There is no reason to be kept from what could be some fine fantasy production. Forget the pain and heartache that usually accompanies waiver-wire players. These studs are as close as you will come to a sure thing at this time of year.

1. Kendall Hunter: The San Francisco 49ers take on the Arizona Cardinals at home. That fact has all Frank Gore owners fuming at the moment.

The fact is the Cardinals are very considerate to running backs. Gore would be poised for a huge day—if he weren't hobbled at the moment. CSN Bay Area reports Gore was held out of practice because of a bruised knee.

It seems as though he will be, at the very least, limited in his touches this weekend. We can all agree the Niners don't need their No. 1 weapon to go down to a team they can beat without him. That makes Kendall Hunter the winner of the bulk of the touches against a soft team. Enjoy.

2. Lance Ball: You never want to see a guy suffer through a lingering hamstring injury, unless you are facing a team with Willis McGahee. The Broncos' running back was limited in practice ahead of Thursday's game with the Jets.

That leaves Lance Ball as the likely candidate to get all of McGahee's touches if he can't go in the marquee game.

3. Carson Palmer: The man is starting to feel his oat once again. The Raiders' new quarterback should make another leap in his progression against a team that is soft right now in the secondary.
