Jon Baldwin Video: Watch Chiefs WR Catch Ball Behind Brian Dawkins' Back
Jonathan Baldwin just made the catch of the year.
Or did he?
Baldwin came up with an incredible grab behind the back of Denver Broncos safety Brian Dawkins, who was completely burned on the play and decided to just play the man instead of the ball.

Dawkins was running toward Baldwin with his arms out, trying his best not to draw a penalty, while Baldwin turned around and saw the ball, woefully underthrown, sailing down toward them.
Baldwin ended up wrapping his arms around the ball, which was placed directly behind Dawkinsโ back. He ended up trapping it against Dawkins and maintained control of it even after tumbling to the ground.
Unfortunately, the play didnโt count statistically as a Broncos penalty nullified it.
It still was easily the best catch made in the NFL this season, even if it wonโt show up in the box score at the end of the game.
Speaking of the box score, the Chiefs are actually trailing the Broncos right now, 10-0, despite the fact that Tim Tebow and the Denver offense did not complete a single pass in the first half.
I bet they wish they had Baldwin on their team making these circus catches and coming down with anything thrown his way.
Baldwin has yet to record a catch that counts this game, but if he keeps making plays like this and putting forth the type of effort required to even come up with that while being clearly interfered, itโs only a matter of time before he comes up big again.
