Tim Tebow: Broncos QB Trying to Replace High Fives with Kissing
Tim Tebow is taking team bonding to a new level. And his chemistry with wide receiver Demaryius Thomas is palpable.
This powerful connection is not yet apparent on the field—Thomas had just three catches on 10 targets on Sunday—but it is undeniable in celebration.
After the improbable Tebow-led comeback was complete, and the Broncos won with a field goal in overtime, Tebow began his joyous celebration.
While other players were pounding on each other, high-fiving, or even hugging, Tebow decided to drop the pretense and show just how much he loved his teammates at that moment with this celebration:
This is a kismet connection that QB combos like Montana and Rice, Manning and Harrison, Brady and anyone with a pulse, have never been able to achieve.
Great things are sure to follow for this young and loving duo.
And the seeds planted by this chemistry have already wrought TD fruit. The first of two late fourth quarter touchdown passes by Tebow came on the below scramble play.
Tebow is at his best when a play breaks down. However, this doesn't do him much good if the receivers can't get on the same page. Tebow and Thomas show that they have have that unspoken communication building as Thomas broke off behind the coverage as Tebow rolled his way.
The two then connected on a "Crane Technique Pass Play (if do right; no can defense)."
That play laid the groundwork for the comeback, and the comeback laid the groundwork for their new celebration. Check out the video of that new routine.
