Troy Polamalu's Fine Another Example of Commissioner Roger Goodell's Power Trip
It is no secret that the majority of the players in the National Football League are not fans of Roger Goodell.
Goodell says he doesn't care, and that it's not his job to make friends with players.
It is his job to make the NFL a good product, and there are many fans that would argue Goodell has done nothing but take away from the game since his entrance as commissioner.

Players are being fined left and right for not only game-play violations, but also for ridiculous reasons.
Yes, you aren't allowed to hit too hard when playing football anymore. It's too dangerous. You will get fined.
You also can't wear a chinstrap or socks that are the wrong color. That is too dangerous, as well. You will get fined.
If you want to flip off your teammates on the sideline as a joke, that's a fine.
Apparently, if you call your wife from a cell phone on the sidelines to let her know you are not seriously injured, that's a fine as well.
That's right, a fine for letting your wife know you are OK.
Steelers safety Troy Polamalu was fined $10,000 for the use of a cell phone on the sidelines during the game against the Jaguars.
Polamalu suffered a concussion during the game, and was calling his wife from the sidelines to make sure she wasn't worried.
There needs to be limitations. Roger Goodell is nothing but a man on a power trip, and it's starting to get out of hand.
I understand protecting players from flagrant hits to prevent concussions. If a guy is caught making an obscene gesture on national television, I can understand a fine.
But this is just going overboard, as many of Goodell's fines are.
Using a cell phone is a fine, celebrating is a fine and having a black chinstrap instead of a white one is a fine.
That's just ridiculous.
Goodell isn't a man looking to give the best product. He is simply a guy who wants everyone to bow down in fear.
