Kansas City Chiefs running back Jackie Battle and Oakland Raiders quarterback Carson Palmer are two of the many players you should grab off the waiver wire in your fantasy football league for Week 7 of the NFL season.

They will play big roles for their respective teams this week, and are sure to perform well for your fantasy team.

Let's take a look at five players who you need to pick up off the waiver wire right now.

RB DeMarco Murray, Dallas Cowboys

Dallas Cowboys rookie running back DeMarco Murray will benefit from Felix Jones' injury. He has a very favorable matchup his week against the St. Louis Rams, who have yet to win a game this season.

Murray can be effective in the passing game on screens and short passing plays also. The Cowboys will likely use a running back by committee approach this week with Murray will get his share of touches.

RB Maurice Morris, Detroit Lions

Maurice Morris will benefit from the absence of starting Detroit Lions running back Jahvid Best, who is recovering from a concussion.

Morris has a decent matchup against the Atlanta Falcons this week, who are allowing about 98 yards rushing per game and six total touchdowns to RBs.

Morris is a tough runner who could get goal line carries for the Lions this week.

WR Steve Breaston, Kansas City Chiefs

Steve Breaston is becoming a valuable receiver for Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel.

Breaston had eight catches for 141 yards the last two games, including two touchdowns in the Chiefs' last game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Breaston is a great pickup to add depth to your team when star receivers have bye weeks.

QB Carson Palmer, Oakland Raiders

Carson Palmer will be an upgrade for the Oakland Raiders over Kyle Boller. While it may take a while for Palmer to get acclimated to the Raiders offense, he will play well this week against a weak Kansas City Chiefs defense.

Palmer has several fast receivers to throw to, and one of football's best pass-catching running backs in Darren McFadden.

Palmer will give the Raiders a good pocket passer to lead the offense. He's a good pickup for your fantasy football team for the remainder of the season.

RB Jackie Battle, Kansas City Chiefs

Jackie Battle could be the Kansas City Chiefs starting running back for the rest of the season while Jamaal Charles recovers from a knee injury.

Battle had 119 yards on 19 carries in Week 5 (Chiefs had a Week 6 bye), with two receptions for 21 yards.

He has the size to get goal line carries and is durable enough to get 20-plus carries each game. Pick up Battle if you need a starting running back, or someone to fill in for bye weeks.
