Green Bay Packers: Perfect Regular-Season Betting Odds Established

The Green Bay Packers (6-0) are the only undefeated team in the National Football League heading into Week 7, and people are already talking about a perfect regular season.

Bettors that anticipate an unblemished record heading into the playoffs can certainly cash in, as the current betting odds are +450 for the defending Super Bowl champions to accomplish the feat.

For every $100 wagered on a perfect regular season, backers would receive $450, while naysayers would need to lay $700 to earn a $100.

Personally, I'm not one to lay so much juice in proposition wagering, but the schedule does present some problems down the road.

It's even possible that a Packers' defeat could come as early as Nov. 6 when the team travels to face off against the San Diego Chargers following a bye week.

Depending on the NFC North standings in the final two weeks, Green Bay could face a couple hungry rivals in hosting the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions to close out the year.

The 2007 Indianapolis Colts were the last defending champion to start a campaign with a 6-0 record, dropping a 24-20 contest to the New England Patriots as five-point home underdogs in Week 9.

A more realistic futures wager for Green Bay fans would definitely be to capture the Super Bowl for a second consecutive season, as the franchise has won NFL titles in all six seasons that it's started with a perfect record through six games.
