Arkansas State (Elwyn McRoy) (5-1) @ Indiana State

Arkansas State’s Donald Boone had 26 points Monday night and scored the winning basket with 43 seconds left in a 56-54 victory over winless Indiana State. Boone, who came off the bench, hit 10 of 13 shots and was the only player for the Red Wolves (5-1) scoring in double figures.

Marquette (Scott Monarch) (6-1) vs. Central Michigan

Wesley Matthews scored 18 points and No. 25 Marquette bounced back from its first loss with an aggressive defense that stymied Central Michigan in an 81-67 victory Tuesday night. Back at home, Marquette (6-1) looked little like the team that got outrun by Dayton in the Chicago Invitational three days earlier. Instead, the Golden Eagles, who came in averaging 89 points per game, took it to the Chippewas in a game that featured 49 fouls and a plodding pace. Dominic James scored 15 points and Lazar Hayward added 14 for Marquette.

Louisiana Lafayette (Robert Lee) (2-3) vs. McNeese State

Louisiana Lafayette cruised past McNeese State 73-64 on Tuesday night, to improve their record to 2-3 on the season. The Ragin’ Cajuns were led by Tyren Johnson with 15 points and 6 rebounds.
