2011 MLB Playoff Schedule: Kyle Lohse Will Crush Milwaukee Hearts in Game 4

Matt FaulconerOct 13, 2011

The Milwaukee Brewers were high on life after their 9-6 victory in Game 1, but things have certainly taken a turn for the worse for the Brewers.

Things don't look too promising tonight for the Brewers as they have to take on Kyle Lohse who has been on fire as of late.

Lohse was on fire at the end of the season, and despite the loss against the Philadelphia Phillies, the Brewers are in trouble.  He was 14-8 for the season, and is not getting the credit he deserves for being one of the better pitchers in the National League.

He posted a 3.47 ERA this year and a WHIP of 1.18.

The Brewers will be pitching Randy Wolf tonight, who also had a solid season this year. His ERA was just slightly higher than Lohse's at 3.69, but he only lasted three innings in his last outing against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

In such a big game, Brewers fans won't feel confident about having Wolf on the mound. The Cardinals have been swinging the bat well, and could easily run up the score quickly in this one.

It's sure to be a terrific game, but a victory from the Cardinals could make their lead in the series insurmountable, and carry them to the World Series.

Lohse certainly has the advantage tonight. Let's see if he owns up to the challenge and carries the Cardinals one game close to the World Series.
