Keep clicking for my prediction of the 2011 MLB Playoffs order of elimination.
8. Cardinals: 0-3 NLDS
1 of 8Prediction: The offensive bats of Pujols and Berkman will be silenced by the best rotation in baseball.
Cardinals get swept.
7. Diamondbacks: 1-3 NLDS
2 of 8Prediction: The powerful Brewers lineup of Fielder, Braun and Hart will destroy the Diamondbacks' mediocre pitching.
Brewers drop one game in series win.
6. Yankees: 2-3 ALDS
3 of 8Prediction: Yankees will lose Game 5 in the Bronx.
Tigers will continue to roll thanks to contributions from Verlander and Penny.
5. Rays: 2-3 ALDS
4 of 8Prediction: Rays will take the Rangers the distance, but that’s where their miracle season will come to an end.
Rangers take three out of five and march into the Motor City.
4. Brewers: 1-4 NLCS
5 of 8Prediction: Brewers fans get a last glimpse of Prince Fielder before his offseason exit in a Game
5 exit from the Phillies.
Greinke’s start is their only NLCS win.
3. Rangers: 3-4 ALCS
6 of 8Prediction: It will take seven games for the Detroit Tigers to make their first World Series appearance since losing to the Cardinals in 2006.
Look for another disappointing end for Rangers fans in 2011.
2. Tigers: 2-4 World Series
7 of 8Prediction: So close but so far away.
The Tigers will lose their second World Series in six years to the Philadelphia Phillies, despite a complete-game victory from Verlander.
1. Phillies: 4-2 World Series
8 of 8Prediction: The Phillies’ shortened rotation will be too much for any team to handle. Halladay, Lee, Oswalt and Hamels will dominate from the NLDS to the World Series.
Phillies win in six.
