NFL Picks Week 4: 3 Teams With Winning Records Who Will Lose This Weekend

Michael MillOct 1, 2011

Although it's hard not to get caught up in a team's performance at the start of the season, it's important to remember that we are only three games into the year.

There are still teams with losing records that will rebound and some with winning records that will fall apart.

Which of those winning teams are contenders and which are pretenders?

Here are three teams with winning records who will lose this weekend.

Oakland Raiders

The Raiders are slowly but surely getting better.

However, Al Davis is still the owner of the team. For as long as that remains true, this isn't a team that I would count on to win regularly.

After a 2-1 start the Raiders will be put in their rightful place this weekend.

The New England Patriots travel to Oakland this weekend. After a loss last week against the Bills, expect the Patriots to come out with a fire lit under them.

Brady could have his third 400 yard game this season.

Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns are 2-1, but they are a very bad 2-1.

The teams they have beaten have a combined record of 0-6. The Colts and the Dolphins are yet to win this season. The Browns also lost to the Bengals in week one.

This week they play a very underrated Tennessee Titans team.

The Titans are currently the top ranked defense in the league. They are also the number two scoring defense.

Hasselbeck is tearing up the league. The only quarterbacks completing a higher percentage of their passes this year are Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady.

As soon as Chris Johnson turns back into the player we all know, this could be a very dangerous team.

San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers should actually be 3-0 right now. After a meltdown against the Cowboys they sit at a 2-1 record instead.

Even though they should be undefeated, they are still 32nd in the league in offensive yards gained. They have failed to do much on the ground or through the air. So far they have relied heavily on their defense to win games.

The Eagles have struggled so far this year, but this should be an easy rebound game for them.

It's not the Eagles offense that has had problems, it's the defense. There isn't too much to worry about against the 49ers.
